15-member team announced for T20 world cup qualifiers

KATHMANDU, Oct 10: A 15-member Nepali cricket squad has been announced for World T20 qualifiers tournament to be played in UAE this November.



According to Cricket Association Nepal (CAN), Mahesh Chhetri has been recalled into the team after two years whereas Jitendra Mukhiya has been inducted into the national team for the first time.[break]



The other members of the team are captain Paras Khadaka, vice-captain Gyanendra Malla, Amrit Bhattarai, Shakti Gauchan, Bashanta Regmi, Rahul BK, Binod Bhandari, Pradeep Airee, Anil Mandal, Sagar Pun, Subas Khakurel and Abhinas Karna.



Naresh Budhayer, Ram Naresh Giri, Chandra Saud and Bhuvan Karki are the alternative members.



Former captain Binod Das, Sanjam Regmi, Yagya Man Kumal, Som Pal Thapa and Manjit Shrestha were also part of the close camp but failed to be selected in the final fifteen.



Prior to the tournament, Nepali team will take on against UAE on November 12 at Dubai and the team will also play against USA at Abudhabi very next day.
