Senior UN official Pascoe arriving on March 10

KATHMANDU, March 6: The top United Nations political official is arriving Nepal for a two-day visit on March 10, a press statement issued by United Nation Mission in Nepal (UNMIN) said on Saturday.



Under-Secretary General for Political Affairs B. Lynn Pascoe will arrive to Nepal via India. He is scheduled to arrive in India on March 9.[break]



Pascoe will be conferring with senior government officials and leaders of the political parties during his Nepal stay.



UN spokesperson Martin Nesirky told reporters in New York that Pascoe is visiting Nepal ´to discuss the state of the peace process and encourage forward movement in the period ahead’.
