According to a report by the District Administration Office (DAO), Sankhuwasabha, 185 houses belonging to locals, and 12 government office buildings are completely destroyed. Likewise, 369 houses are partially damaged, and 796 have suffered minor damage. According to acting chief district officer Mohan Mani Ghimire, 13 government office buildings have been partially damaged, and 21 others have sustained minor damage.Acting CDO Ghimire told Republica that security personnel from Nepal Police, Armed Police Force (APF) and Nepal Army (NA), have started destroying those houses that are damaged beyond repair. "Security personnel are destroying the damaged structures in order to prevent further risks," said he.
Meanwhile, the District Disaster Relief Committee (DDRC) of Sankhuwasabha has distributed tents to the locals whose houses were completely damaged by the earthquake. The tents have been delivered to the affected locals in coordination with respective VDCs and municipalities and local police offices on Thursday, according to the DAO.
