The Nepalis were forced to clean dishes and vessels used for storing chemicals, though it was mentioned in their contract that they would be given job of packaging goods.[break]
The Nepali workers reached there through Recruitment Private Limited, Kathmandu, for River Stone Research Company at Santosha of Silangarh district also claimed that they were not provided with the remuneration as per the contract, said Bhakta Rai, Programme Coordinator at Safe Immigration Information Centre.
Some of the workers have been affected by chemicals and admitted to a local hospital. The health of Top Bahadur Sunuwar Rai of Udaypur district is said to be deteriorating while the condition of rest was also not good.
Sagar, one of the stranded Nepali workers, said they demanded that they no longer wanted money but wanted to return home but the company they were working turned down their request.
The workers claimed they signed in the contract for 900 ringgits but were provided only 650 ringgits.
