SALLERI, Oct 5: At least 13 houses are at high risk of a landslide at Sotang rural municipality-2 in Solukhumbu district.
The erosion of local Chamkhu gorge that started two years ago after the earthquake ofApril 2015 is fast-advancing toward the settlement, thus risking the entire village, said local reisent Naina Bahadur Rai. Without any option left, local people are forced to spend sleepless nights for their life as a result.
Their repeated calls to the concerned authority to seek solution to the problem have been largely ignored, they complained.
