13 held for disrupting election preparation activities

JANAKPUR, April 21: Dhanusha Police has arrested 13 cadres of the United Democratic Front (UDMF) on the charge of disrupting preparations of local level elections.

JANAKPUR, April 21: Dhanusha Police has arrested 13 cadres of the United Democratic Front (UDMF) on the charge of disrupting preparations of local level elections.


“As many as 13 UDMF leaders and cadres were arrested for disrupting a local-level election orientation program organized at Gramin Prashikshan Kendra in Mujheliya, SP Manoj Yadav, chief of Dhanusha District Police Office told Republica Online.

The arrested are UDMF coordinator Pramod Yadav, District Leader of Rastriya Janata Party (RJP) Parmeshwar Sah, Sanjaya Singh, Satish Lal Das, Federal Socialist Forum Nepal leader Hari Narayan Yadav, Ram Pukar Yadav, Ram Ratan Yadav, Somanta Thakur, Sitaram Yadav alias Hanuman and Ram Chandra Sah and Udaya Kumar Singh.


UDMF was preparing to hold a protest rally at Janakpur today as announced earlier.


RJP Chairman Mahantha Thakur is scheduled to arrive in Janakpur to address the protest rally.


They have been saying that they will not allow any election preparation activities in the district.
