Eight girls missing

DAMAULI, Jan 13: The Michurlung village in Majhkot VDC of Tanahun district is in shock after eight girls went missing from the village since Monday.



Those who went missing are Sapana Barali (14) and Sanu Barali (12), the daughters of Khagendra Barali; Ujeli BK (12), Manisha BK (15), Sabina Ranamagar (15), Juna Nepali (16), Sushila BK (15) and Suku Nepali (17).



The guardians urged journalists to help search for the girls. Santu Barali, the mother of Sapana, said her daughter had gone to the school in the morning but did not return in the evening. Only Sapana was a school-going kids among the eight girls.



Santu said she was later told by local girls that her daughters had gone for cinema. When she called Sapana over her mobile phone, it said that the mobile has been switched off.



The guardians informed the police about the incident only on Wednesday. Police said they have intensified search for the missing girls.
