KATHMANDU, March 12: Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Pampha Bhusal has said that the government is committed to control the rising prices of daily essentials.

Speaking at a program organized on Friday on the occasion of the sixth Founding Day of Godavari Municipality and the inauguration of the newly-constructed administrative building, Minister Bhusal said that it has been difficult for people to make their daily livelihoods due to the rise in the prices of daily essentials.

Minister Sharma also said that the municipality has worked well for the last five years. Similarly, lawmaker Nawaraj Silval said that the municipality has remained as the Karnali of the Kathmandu Valley in terms of development and construction. He said that the government needs to increase some investment for the area.

Likewise, Chief of the municipality Gajendra Maharjan said that the municipality is geographically large in the valley. He urged the government to provide compensation to the concerned people as soon as possible for the 22-meter extension of Satdobato-Chapagaun and Satdobato-Harisiddhi roads.
