12 KMC policemen promoted

KATHMANDU, Aug 29: The rank of 12 police personnel of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) police force has been promoted.

KATHMANDU, Aug 29: The rank of 12 police personnel of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) police force has been promoted. 


As per the provisions of the Metropolitan City Act 2080, KMC Sub-Inspectors of Police have been promoted to KMC Senior Sub-Inspector of Police as per a decision of the Chief Administrative Officer.

During the badge awarding ceremony held on Wednesday, Pradeep Pariyar, Chief Administrative Officer, instructed the promoted KMC police officers to remain disciplined, fair, honest and responsible “as the image of the KMC is reflected in the conduct of its police force.”


On that occasion, Namraj Dhakal, chief of the administrative department of the KMC, along with Rajunath Pandey, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of the KMC police force, and other officials, said that citizens have placed their trust in the municipal policies, plans, and urban governance. They emphasized that this trust should not be broken.
