12 gamblers arrested

SANKHU, Feb. 3: Police have arrested 12 gamblers from the house of a local resident Krishna Bahadur Thing near Chapbot at Nanglebhare of Shankarapur Municipality in the district last night.
According to Inspector at Sankhu-based Kathmandu Metropolitan Police Circle Laxmi Khanal, the punters were arrested along with Rs 81,800 in cash from the gambling den.
The arrested gamblers are Khadak Bahadur Bhjurel, Sitaram Rimal, Bakhan Tamang, Bude Lama, Hem Bahadur Bastakoti and others, Police Inspector Khanal shared. In the recent weeks, police have upped their vigilance against gamblers in Kathmandu and adjoining areas, arresting a large number of punters from Bouddha, Jorpati and Gonggabu. RSS
