115,000 houses surveyed in Kathmandu Valley

KATHMANDU, Oct 3: As many as 115,803 earthquake most affected houses in three districts of the Kathmandu Valley have been surveyed.

KATHMANDU, Oct 3: As many as 115,803 earthquake most affected houses in three districts of the Kathmandu Valley have been surveyed. 



The houses surveyed as of October 1 include 53,149 in Kathmandu, 32,038 in Bhaktapur and 30,661 in Lalitpur, Director of Central Bureau of Statistics Dhundiraj Lamichhane told RSS. 



A comprehensive household survey was undertaken in the out-of-Valley earthquake most-affected districts including Sindhupalchowk, Dolakha, Ramechhap, Okhaldhunga, Sindhuli, Makawanpur, Kavrepalanchowk, Gorkha, Dhading, Rasuwa and Nuwakot districts. 



The verification model was adopted in carrying out survey in the Kathmandu Valley.



National Reconstruction Authority's CEO Ram Prasad Thapaliya shared that grant agreement would be held soon in the capital as the task to publish the list of house owners eligible to receive grants has been initiated. 



"The list of earthquake affected people has been sought from the District Development Committee in 17 districts through the Ministry of Federal Affairs," he said. RSS
