GORKHA, August 9: Two men have been arrested for allegedly raping an 11-year-old girl of Palungtar Municipality-4 in Gorkha. According to police, the young girl had been seriously ill after being repeatedly abused by her father and uncle.
The 11-year-old had complained about her father and uncle’s acts to her aunt, who later filed a case against them with the police, DSP Prakash Dahal at District Police Office, Gorkha said.

The young girl was subjected to repeated abuse by her single father after her mother eloped with another person. It is revealed that she was also raped by her uncle last October.
According to DSP Dahal, the case came to light after the girl’s aunt filed the case against her brothers to the District Police Office, Gorkha. The police arrested the culprits on Friday and filed a rape charge against them. Further investigation into the case is currently underway, Dahal informed Republica.
