KATHMANDU, Oct 11: Amid fears of COVID-19, Nepal Rastra Bank has decided to not provide new notes for Dashain this year.
Issuing a notice on Sunday, NRB’s Currency Management Department said that the exchange of new notes has been suspended to avoid crowds in banks.
The demand for new notes is high during Dashain and Tihar.
