100 polling stations to be differently-abled friendly

KATHMANDU, Nov 3: As many as 100 polling stations are going to be made differently-abled-friendly for the upcoming House of Representatives (HoR) and provincial assembly elections to be held on November 20.

KATHMANDU, Nov 3: As many as 100 polling stations are going to be made differently-abled-friendly for the upcoming House of Representatives (HoR) and provincial assembly elections to be held on November 20.

According to a decision made by the Election Commission, sign language list, orientation to the staff working there on the use of sign language, Braille materials on voting methods, colorful ropes and poles, construction of ramps, construction of wheelchair-accessible polling stations, tables and chairs for differently-abled people will be provided. The Commission has fixed a total of 22,226 polling stations for the elections.
