100 NC CA members at Pashupatinath

KATHMANDU, Jan 6: About 100 Constituent Assembly (CA) members from the Nepali Congress led by Ram Chandra Poudel, Gopal Man Shrestha and Ram Sharan Mahat have marched from the CA Hall, New Baneshwar to Pashupatinath temple to express solidarity with the devotees protesting against recent appointment of priests and their aides at the temple by the government.






Poudel told the devotees at the Pashupati area to continue the demonstration and said Nepali Congress would do the needful over the issue at the parliament.






Protesters have blocked traffic at Old Baneshwar, chanting slogans demanding the resignation of Minister for Culture and State Restructuring Gopal Kiranti. The protesters also burned effigies of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Minister Kiranti..
