The main opposition CPN-UML, which has been demanding the formation of a high-level investigation committee to investigate gold smuggling, has been obstructing parliament.

On Monday and Tuesday, top leaders of the Nepali Congress, UML and Maoist Center along with the Speaker discussed removing the obstruction in Parliament. But they could not reach an agreement.

But after the home minister is going to give an answer on the 100 kg gold smuggling case, the UML is set to allow parliament to run. UML Whip Mahesh Bartaula said that if the home minister's answer is not ‘clear’, they will disrupt parliament again.
