Women's national volleyball in Bhaktapur

KATHMANDU, Dec 1: Sher Bahadur Khadka Memorial Foundation, Balkot, Bhaktapur is set to hold First Women's National Volleyball Club Championship from Wednesday.



Three departmental teams Nepal APF, Nepal Police and Tribhuvan Army Club along with New Diamond Academy, Western Volleyball Association and Jawalakhel Volleyball Training Centre will take part in the championship to be played in league-cum-knockout format.

Army, Western and New Diamond are in Group A, while APF, Police and Jawalakhel are in Group B. The winner, runner-up and the team finishing third will bag Rs 50,000, Rs 35,000 and Rs 15,000, respectively, along with trophies.


Likewise, best player will claim Rs 3,000 and players finishing best in different categories will be awarded Rs 1,500 each. The final will be played on Friday.
