Women organization demand withdrawal of petro price hike

KATHMANDU, Sept 13: Eight women´s organizations close to various political parties have demanded that decision for the price hike in petroleum products be withdrawn immediately.



The women´s organizations jointly issued a press release on Thursday and urged the government to withdraw the decision of price hike made unilaterally instead of finding an alternative way. [break]



They claimed that on one hand, the cost of daily commodities would increase due to the price hike in the petroleum products, on the other, the price hike in diesel would increase the production cost of the agricultural goods which will hard hit the farmers.



ALL Nepal Women´s Association (Revolutionary), All Nepal Women´s Association, All Nepal Progressive Women´s Association, Nepal Women´s Federation, among others, have jointly issued the press release.
