DAMAK, March 20: The Damak Disabled Assistance Committee has distributed wheelchairs and tricycles to physically handicapped individuals here.
The Committee handed over the equipment amidst a programme held on Sunday. As many as 11 differently abled persons from Damak, Lakhanpur, Gauradaha and Dharampur were provided the equipment, according to Committee's Chairman, Khagendra Bahadur Bhattarai.
The wheelchairs and tricycles that were distributed amounted to Rs 66,000. On the occasion, Society Welfare Council's Vice Chair, Nilmani Baral, stressed on need to support and protect the differently abled citizens and ensure their right to live in society like a normal individual. RSS
