The International Cricket Council said in a statement Sunday that match referee Chris Broad of England imposed the fine after captain Jason Holder's side was ruled to be three overs short of its target when time allowances were taken into consideration.Australia won the test by an innings and 212 runs in under three days.
The ICC said Holder had been fined 60 percent of his match fee, while the players received 30 percent fines.
It said Holder, who faces a suspension if there is a similar slow-over rate over the next 12 months, pleaded guilty to the offense and accepted the sanction.
