UDAYAPUR, Dec 21: Vice-chairman of the CPN-Maoist, CP Gajurel has said his party would not take up arms right now.

The agreement signed by the major parties without recognizing the CPN-Maoist will not be acceptable to them, he added.

He alleged that the UCPN (Maoist) and Madhes-based political parties are chiefly responsible for the present political crisis, reiterating that the settlement of current political transition was not possible by the talks between some political parties.

He said President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav´s efforts towards finding a political way out by calling on the government alliance and other political parties would be in vain.

CPN-Maoist leader Gajurel said Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai and Madhes based political parties are in no mood of giving up the state power and it was because of this that the nation has to pass through the current political crisis.

Leader Gajurel was for settling present political crisis from a roundtable conference and warned of street protest if it was not possible.
