KATHMANDU, Sept 9: Minister for Water Supply Pradeep Yadav has resigned from his post. His resignation follows the death of youths during Monday’s Gen Z protests.
Stating that it would be inappropriate to remain in the government after such an incident, Minister Yadav tendered his resignation.
‘Melamchi water to reach people year-round’
“My dear young brothers and sisters, you are my foremost supporters and the source of my energy and enthusiasm,” Yadav said, “In support of yesterday’s Gen Z movement and in protest against the suppression carried out by the government and administration, I announce my resignation from the post of Minister for Water Supply.”
Earlier, Ramnath Adhikari, Minister for Agriculture from the Nepali Congress, had also announced his resignation.
