Voters can update names in electoral roll by Dec 12

Voters can submit applications not only to remove names or file claims and objections but also to transfer their registration from one polling station to another within the same ward, if it is more convenient for them.

KATHMANDU, Dec 9: The Election Commission (EC) has announced that errors in the voter list can be corrected until December 12. 



Voters can submit applications not only to remove names or file claims and objections but also to transfer their registration from one polling station to another within the same ward, if it is more convenient for them.

In a notice issued on Monday, the EC stated, “During the review process, if a voter’s name needs to be moved to the relevant polling station or was omitted from the list, corrections, name removals, claims and objections can be made through the ongoing voter list update program until December 12. Additionally, voters can request to transfer their registration from one polling station to another within the same ward for convenience.”


Voters wishing to transfer their names to another polling station within the same ward can either visit the concerned election office or submit an online application through the EC’s website, the EC added.
