Vote counting for remaining NC posts today

KATHMANDU, March 8: The vote counting of central committee members including general secretary and treasurer under the Nepali Congress's 13th National Convention election is set to start from Tuesday afternoon.

According to NC Election Commission member Gopal Krishna Ghimire, the vote counting will take place at party central office Sanepa from 1:30 pm.


The vote count of the party president was held at the National Assembly hall in the capital on Monday.

Party senior leader Sher Bahadur Deuba got elected NC President securing 1,822 votes against his close contender NC Acting President Ram Chandra Poudel's 1,296 votes.

The first round of election for NC new leadership was held on Sunday. RSS
