Value of US Dollar declines compared to previous day

Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has determined the foreign exchange rates for today, with the US dollar's value declining compared to the previous day. According to the central bank, one US dollar is being bought at Rs 136.72 and sold at Rs 137.32.

KATHMANDU, March 25: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has determined the foreign exchange rates for today, with the US dollar's value declining compared to the previous day. According to the central bank, one US dollar is being bought at Rs 136.72 and sold at Rs 137.32.


The exchange rate for the Euro has been set at Rs 148.28 for buying and Rs 148.93 for selling. The British pound sterling is being traded at Rs 177.16 for buying and Rs 177.94 for selling. The Swiss franc is valued at Rs 155.18 for buying and Rs 155.86 for selling.


For other currencies, the Australian dollar is being bought at Rs 86.11 and sold at Rs 86.49, while the Canadian dollar is being traded at Rs 95.49 for buying and Rs 95.91 for selling. The Singapore dollar has an exchange rate of Rs 102.27 for buying and Rs 102.72 for selling.

The Japanese yen (per 10 units) is being bought at Rs 9.13 and sold at Rs 9.17, while the Chinese yuan is set at Rs 18.85 for buying and Rs 18.93 for selling. The Saudi Arabian riyal is being traded at Rs 36.45 for buying and Rs 36.61 for selling. The Qatari riyal has an exchange rate of Rs 37.51 for buying and Rs 37.67 for selling.


The Thai baht is being bought at Rs 4.04 and sold at Rs 4.06, while the UAE dirham is being exchanged at Rs 37.22 for buying and Rs 37.39 for selling. The Malaysian ringgit is being traded at Rs 30.83 for buying and Rs 30.97 for selling.


Similarly, the South Korean won (per 100 units) has been set at Rs 9.32 for buying and Rs 9.36 for selling. The Swedish krona is valued at Rs 13.53 for buying and Rs 13.59 for selling. The Danish krone is being exchanged at Rs 19.88 for buying and Rs 19.97 for selling.


The Hong Kong dollar is being traded at Rs 17.59 for buying and Rs 17.67 for selling. The Kuwaiti dinar has an exchange rate of Rs 443.55 for buying and Rs 445.50 for selling, while the Bahraini dinar is being exchanged at Rs 362.69 for buying and Rs 364.28 for selling. The Omani riyal is being bought at Rs 355.18 and sold at Rs 356.74.


Meanwhile, the Indian rupee (per 100 units) is being traded at Rs 160.00 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.


NRB has stated that these rates are subject to revision at any time as per market demand. The central bank has also noted that the exchange rates set by commercial banks may vary based on open-market transactions. The latest updated rates can be accessed on the central bank's official website.
