KATHMANDU Feb 4: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has set the foreign exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate for 1 US dollar is Rs 139.20, while the selling rate is Rs 139.80. Compared to the previous day, the value of the US dollar has increased again.
The buying rate for 1 euro is Rs 142.52, and the selling rate is Rs 143.13. The buying rate for 1 British pound sterling is Rs 171.26, while the selling rate is Rs 172.00. Similarly, the Swiss franc's buying rate is Rs 151.77, and the selling rate is Rs 152.43.
The buying and selling rates for 1 Australian dollar are Rs 85.45 and Rs 86.82, respectively. For 1 Canadian dollar, the rates are Rs 94.72 and Rs 95.12. The Singapore dollar's buying rate is Rs 101.74, while its selling rate is Rs 102.18.

For 10 Japanese yen, the buying rate is Rs 9.00, and the selling rate is Rs 9.04. The Chinese yuan stands at Rs 19.20 for buying and Rs 19.28 for selling. The Saudi Arabian riyal has a buying rate of Rs 37.11 and a selling rate of Rs 37.27, while the Qatari riyal is valued at Rs 38.18 for buying and Rs 38.35 for selling.
According to NRB, the Thai baht is being traded at Rs 4.09 for buying and Rs 4.11 for selling. The buying and selling rates for 1 UAE dirham are Rs 37.90 and Rs 38.06, respectively. The Malaysian ringgit is priced at Rs 31.11 for buying and Rs 31.24 for selling. The South Korean won (per 100 units) is trading at Rs 9.49 for buying and Rs 9.53 for selling. The Swedish krona stands at Rs 12.39 for buying and Rs 12.45 for selling, while the Danish krona is Rs 19.10 for buying and Rs 19.18 for selling.
NRB has set the exchange rate for 1 Hong Kong dollar at Rs 17.86 for buying and Rs 17.94 for selling. The Kuwaiti dinar is valued at Rs 450.46 for buying and Rs 452.40 for selling. The Bahraini dinar's buying rate is Rs 369.22, while the selling rate is Rs 370.81. The Omani rial is priced at Rs 361.57 for buying and Rs 363.13 for selling.
Similarly, the exchange rate for 100 Indian rupees is set at Rs 160.00 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.
NRB has stated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time as needed. It has also been mentioned that commercial banks may set different exchange rates, and the updated rates will be available on the central bank’s website.
