US dollar touches Rs 136.73

Nepal Rastra Bank has set the foreign exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar stands at Rs 136.73, while the selling rate is Rs 137.33.

KATHMANDU, May 22: Nepal Rastra Bank has set the foreign exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar stands at Rs 136.73, while the selling rate is Rs 137.33.


The bank has fixed the buying and selling rates of one euro at Rs 155.03 and Rs 155.71, respectively. One UK pound sterling is being bought at Rs 183.36 and sold at Rs 184.17, while one Swiss franc is priced at Rs 165.90 for buying and Rs 166.63 for selling.


For the Australian dollar, the buying rate is Rs 88.14 and the selling rate is Rs 88.53. The Canadian dollar's buying rate is Rs 98.50, with a selling rate of Rs 98.93. The Singapore dollar is being bought at Rs 106.07 and sold at Rs 106.53.

The buying and selling rates for 10 Japanese yen are Rs 9.52 and Rs 9.56, respectively. One Chinese yuan is priced at Rs 18.98 for buying and Rs 19.06 for selling. One Saudi Arabian riyal has a buying rate of Rs 36.45 and a selling rate of Rs 36.61, while one Qatari riyal's buying rate is Rs 37.51 and selling rate is Rs 37.68.


According to the central bank, one Thai baht is bought at Rs 4.17 and sold at Rs 4.19. The buying rate for one UAE dirham is Rs 37.23, and the selling rate is Rs 37.39. The Malaysian ringgit's buying and selling rates are Rs 32.02 and Rs 32.16, respectively. For 100 South Korean won, the buying rate is Rs 9.94 and the selling rate is Rs 9.98. One Swedish krona's buying rate stands at Rs 14.28, with a selling rate of Rs 14.34, while one Danish krone is bought at Rs 20.78 and sold at Rs 20.88.


Nepal Rastra Bank has set the buying rate of one Hong Kong dollar at Rs 17.46 and the selling rate at Rs 17.54. One Kuwaiti dinar is bought at Rs 445.58 and sold at Rs 447.53. The buying and selling rates of one Bahraini dinar are Rs 362.66 and Rs 364.25, respectively, while one Omani riyal is bought at Rs 355.17 and sold at Rs 356.72.


The bank has fixed the buying rate of Rs 160 and the selling rate of Rs 160.15 for 100 Indian rupees.


Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that it may revise these exchange rates at any time as needed. Commercial banks may set different rates, and the updated exchange rates will be available on the central bank's official website.
