Unidentified gang loots Rs 1.6m in Terhathum

TAPLEJUNG, June 28: An unidentified gang looted Rs 1.6 million form two persons in Terhathum district on Wednesday evening.



The masked gang of 12 to 13 persons robbed Chuda Mani Ghimire, an office assistant of Pokhari Higher Secondary School Chatidhunga and Loknath Pakuwal, a teacher of Saraswati Lower Secondary School, Hoda, as they were returning home after receiving salary of school staffs from Terhathum-branch of Nepal Bank Limited, said Gyanu Bhattarai, incharge at Chatedhunga Police Station. The gang also assaulted Ghimire and Pakuwal duo after looting the cash.The looters had managed to flee after the incident



According to the victims, the gang robbed them showing Khukuri at Sukepokhari near Pokhari Higher Secondary School.



Police said that search operation is underway to nab the looters
