He said the party will press the government to scrap the recent controversial cabinet decision that sought to legalize the land transactions done under the arbitration of the then rebel Maoist party´s ´people´s government´ and to expedite the peace process.
The meeting also decided to call the party´s politburo meeting for two days starting February 8 to deliberate over the political documents to be presented by Chairman Jhalanath Khanal at the meeting of the party´s National Representatives´ Council.
The three-day Council meeting, in which hundreds of party representatives from across the country will participate, is scheduled to start from March 4. The next standing committee meeting is scheduled for Tuesday.
