KATHMANDU, Jan 19: The Kailali District Committee of the CPN-UML has recommended disciplinary action against two leaders for meeting Bhim Rawal, a senior leader previously penalized by the party.
The committee's meeting on Saturday made a proposal against Krishna Raj Subedi, former Minister of Social Development of Sudurpaschim Province, and Bhishma Subedi, a district committee member and in-charge of Godavari Municipality.

The recommendation includes revoking both leaders' party memberships, with Krishnaraj Subedi facing expulsion and Bhishma Subedi being relieved of all responsibilities. The two leaders, father and son, have been accused of violating party directives by engaging with Rawal.
Krishna Raj Subedi defended his actions, stating that he met Bhim Rawal as a respected leader and criticized the party's decision as arbitrary, saying, "If meeting a leader leads to expulsion, the party is becoming authoritarian."
