UML leader Nepal urges NC to join incumbent govt

RUKUM, March 21: Former Prime Minister and CPN-UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that the Nepali Congress should join the incumbent government to make it as national consensus government.



At a news conference organised by Rukum chapter of Press Chautari at Musikot Monday morning, leader Nepal urged the newly elected NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba to join the government led by the UML.

He said, "Sher Bahadur Ji join the government. Let's move together and give momentum to development construction. Let's institutionalize the federalism and move together settling the disputed issues."


Stating that the country has been able to get the democratic constitution, the UML leader said that responsibility for the implementation of new constitution and launching new campaign for development has fallen on the shoulders of the UML.


On a different note, he stressed that it was necessary to lift the country to the status of developed country by making the country's economy stronger with the modernization of agriculture. RSS
