The meeting further dwelt on the agenda of the government’s plan to form a council to run local bodies.

According to Mahendra Yadav, Chairman of Tarai Madesh Democratic Party-Nepal (TMDP-N), the meeting decided to table an amendment to the policy and programs citing that it failed to address their demands.

He said that it also objected to the plan of the Local Development Ministry to form a council to run local bodies and that the time is also not appropriate to form a plan that does not include fringe parties.

The meeting concluded that the plan ignored implementation of the five-point deal.
