UCPN (Maoist)'s Mechi-Mahakali campaign kicks off

JHAPA, Nov 6: The UCPN (Maoist) on Wednesday began its Mechi-Mahakali National Awareness Campaign targeting the secluded elections to the Constitution Assembly (CA) from here in Kakadbhitta.



The campaign is scheduled to end on November 13 from Mahendranagar.[break]



As per the campaign, the party would hold election rallies at Birtamod, Damak and Biratnagar today where top most party leaders including Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Baburam Bhattarai, Narayan Kaji Shrestha and Barsaman Pun are set to participate.



Addressing an election rally here in Kakadbhitta, UCPN-Maoist Chairman Dahal expressed confidence that his party would emerge victorious in these elections as the agenda of the CA itself is championed by his party.



Addressing the same rally, senior leader Bhattarai claimed that the new constitution would not be promulgated if his party failed to win the two third seats in the upcoming elections.
