The deceased have been identified as Bidya Paswan, 55 of Meghnath Gorhanna-7 and Ramkumari Mahara, 50, of Hatirsawa-6, DSP Binod Lamsal of District Police Office, Mahottari told Republica.
According to DSP Lamsal, the incident looks suspicious as there are bruises around the bodies.
"The bodies have several bruises, said DSP Silwal, adding "It appears that the bodies must have been kept in the club office after beating them to death."
Currently a preliminary investigation is underway to find out the details behind the incident.
The bodies have been handed over to their kin following the postmortem at Mahottari District Hospital.
