UDAYAPUR, Sept 28: Police have arrested two women with 12 kilograms of marijuana from Kaman in Udayapurgadhi Rural Municipality–7.
According to the District Police Office, those arrested are 40-year-old Asmita Ram and 45-year-old Leeladevi Ram, both from Lahan Municipality–17 of Siraha district.

The women were caught during a police patrol in Kaman, Nepalatar on Saturday, said Nepal Police Spokesperson Kedar Man Dong. He added that they had purchased the marijuana from the hilly areas of Udayapurgadhi with the intention of smuggling it to India via Siraha.
The arrested women are being held at the District Police Office, Udayapur, for investigation.
