Sun International has been importing Baskin-Robbins ice creams business from India and selling from its Baskin 31 Robbins Ice Cream Lounge at Narayanhiti Uttar Dhoka and now Baskin 31 Robbins Ice Cream Kiosk at Sherpa Mall in Durbar Marg, Kathmandu.
There are both local and international players in the ice cream business in the country that target the middle and upper class. What makes Baskin-Robbins, which has been in operation here for twelve years, stand out is its way of presentation and knack for cleanliness. The kiosk sells not just ice creams but fun as well. You name them--Banana Royale, Nut Crunch, Tulip Exotica Sundae, Dusty Road Sundae or Hot toppings--you´ll have them at your table within seconds. Sundaes can be had for Rs 89 to Rs 265 for a regular size and Rs 105-Rs 185 for premium. A regular hand pack costs Rs 255-Rs 460 and a premium size costs Rs 305-Rs 530.
And for coming days, Sun International is planning to open a more exotic lounge in Patan. Baskin-Robbins is all set to create the magic of ice cream at cinema halls, restaurants and colleges in the days to come.
