KATHMANDU, June 12: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Badri Prasad Pandey, has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic plane crash in Ahmedabad, India.
Sharing his condolences through social media on Thursday, Minister Pandey extended sympathy to the Government of India, the Indian people, and the families of those affected.

“I am saddened to hear the news of the Air India plane carrying 242 passengers crashing shortly after taking off from Ahmedabad airport,” he wrote. “In this tragic hour, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the Government of India and the Indian people. My thoughts and prayers are with the affected passengers, their families, and all those impacted.”
The Air India aircraft, en route to London, crashed just two minutes after takeoff from Ahmedabad airport in Gujarat, India, resulting in the deaths of at least 80 people. Among the passengers was former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani.
