KATHMANDU, Aug 15: The curtain rises on the Top End T20 Series on Friday, with Nepal taking on Australian club Northern Territory Strikers in the opening match.
The game is scheduled to start at 2:15 NST at the Marrara Cricket Ground. This marks Nepal’s debut in the tournament, which serves as crucial preparation for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Qualifiers. The team will be led by captain Rohit Paudel.

The competition features teams from 11 countries, including hosts Australia, the United States, and Pakistan. Matches will run until September 24.
Nepal is currently in Australia preparing for the joint Asia and East Asia–Pacific regional qualifiers for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, scheduled to be held in Oman this October.
Following the Top End T20 Series, Nepal will continue training in Australia for another week, according to the Cricket Association of Nepal.
On August 26, the team will play two T20 matches against Cricket ACT, followed by two more T20s against South Australia on August 28. Nepal will also play a one-day match against South Australia on August 30.
