No revenue leakage in EV import: FinMin Dr Wagle

During a meeting of the Public Accounts Committee of the House of Representatives (HoR) today, Minister Dr Wagle argued that attempts are being made to spread rumours on revenue leakage and to defame him.

KATHMANDU, June 11: Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle has ruled out the allegations labelled against him regarding the information leakage on tax determination on import of electric vehicles (EVs). 



During a meeting of the Public Accounts Committee of the House of Representatives (HoR) today, Minister Dr Wagle argued that attempts are being made to spread rumours on revenue leakage and to defame him.

Minister Dr Wagle challenged the lawmakers to provide evidence, if any, of misappropriation of even Rs 2. "I will not only quit the post of the finance minister and politics but also my public life," Dr Wagle challenged. He mentioned that such a level of moral commitment was unlikely among other politicians in the country.
