The next phase will see representatives of the selected teams participate in idea management, skill development and business development seminars and training in November. They will be trained on mobile app making, business development, ideas pitching and presentation techniques through national and international experts, which will enable them to refine their ideas and come up working prototype.
The teams will then submit their final refined idea by December 9, out of which six best ideas from each category will move on to the final competition.
Each team will then receive one-to-one mentorship on developing a business model, improving user interface and experience, and pitching their ideas. The winners from each category will win a cash prize of Rs 250,000, and the grand winner will bag an additional Rs 500,000 along with a promise from Ncell to sponsor participation in similar overseas app camp in 2016.
This year, the number of submissions had surpassed last year's by almost double. Ncell CEO, Erim Taylanlar says, "We would like to thank all 728 teams for actively registering idea and showing enthusiasm to contribute to important sectors like health and tourism with innovative solutions. The response demonstrates the digital potential that the country has."
Last year also, selected teams were mentored by Tommy Palm, games guru of King.com – developer of Candy Crush.
