The toddler was found dead in bed while the bodies of the other two were lying on the floor. The neighbors had broken in after they didn´t see any activity in the household and found blood in the back-door.

“The cupboard was broken while clothes lay scattered around the room,” said Parshuram Rai, a neighbor. Sherpa´s husband Pem Dorji is in Saudi Arabia for employment and had sent money just four days ago. Police said the murder was committed for the money, while locals claimed the jewelries have also been looted.

The heads of Pasang and Ang were smashed and police said the criminals may have used stone to kill them. Deputy Superintendent of Police Yuva Narayan Baidya said a team from Area Police Office, Dingla has reached the village for investigation.
