Three juveniles escape from child correction home in Morang

According to DSP Bed Prakash Joshi at District Police Office, Morang, the escapees are between 17 and 18 years old and hail from Udayapur, Jhapa and Taplejung districts.

BIRATNAGAR, May 13: Three juveniles escaped from the Koshi Child Correction Home in Biratnagar-3 on Monday.


According to DSP Bed Prakash Joshi at District Police Office, Morang, the escapees are between 17 and 18 years old and hail from Udayapur, Jhapa and Taplejung districts.

Among them, the 18-year-old from Udayapur had been serving a 16-year and 8-month sentence and had spent three years in the facility. The other two had been sent to the correction home from Jhapa and Taplejung five months ago for trial detention.


Police have launched a search operation to locate the fugitives.
