Three arrested in Rautahat with 118 fake Rs 1,000 notes

Those arrested have been identified as Ajay Patel, 20, and Genalal Patel, 21, of Dewahi Gonahi Municipality-4, and Jayprakash Kumar, 23, of Kudwa Chainpur, East Champaran-2, Motihari, Bihar, India.

RAUTAHAT, Dec 3: Police have arrested three individuals with counterfeit Nepali currency. They were detained on Tuesday afternoon from Latmari Tole in Ishnath Municipality-4 with 118 fake banknotes of Rs 1,000 denomination.



Those arrested have been identified as Ajay Patel, 20, and Genalal Patel, 21, of Dewahi Gonahi Municipality-4, and Jayprakash Kumar, 23, of Kudwa Chainpur, East Champaran-2, Motihari, Bihar, India.

A police team mobilized from Mathiya Mahuliya Police Post apprehended them along with the counterfeit notes. Police also seized a motorcycle (BR 05 AT 0983) used by the suspects.


An investigation into the case is underway, authorities said.
