Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Ananda Prasad Pokharel inaugurated the hotel amid a function on Monday evening. Speaking on the occasion, Pokharel said it is the right time to invest in tourism sector as good days are coming. "We are aggressively promoting Nepal in India and China which will help in faster recovery of tourism," he added.The hotel is located in Pashupati Vision Building. The building earlier housed Hotel Indreni Himalaya which was closed after the earthquake.
"At a time when the tourism sector is trying hard to get out of the crisis, we have launched operation with great enthusiasm and spirit to work for the revival of the industry as well as the entire," Kamal Chhetri, senior manager-sales and marketing, The Amadablam Hotel, said.
The hotel has 62 rooms, a restaurant and spa and gym facilities. Room tariff ranges from Rs 4,000 to Rs 10,000 per night. The hotel's terrace offer magnificent view of the Kathmandu Valley.
"Being close to the airport, we will ensure providing useful services to the airlines for layover, flight delays, etc," said Chhetri.
