Talks ongoing between govt and protesting teachers

KATHMANDU, April 13: Negotiations are currently ongoing between protesting teachers of Nepal Teachers' Federation (NTA) and the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MoEST).


According to a ministry official, the talks have been underway for an hour, with efforts being made towards reaching an agreement. Discussions between the government and the NTA have been taking place since Thursday.

The discussions have focused on service benefits, with the Cabinet and Ministry exploring what can be done, aiming for an agreement to be presented in the upcoming session of the Parliament. The NTA is seeking certainty regarding the implementation of the law.
