Buddhabir Lama and Krishna Gurung are the male players and Indra Malla is the female player to compete in the event. Bal Krishna Shrestha is the manager and Bhairav Shahi is the coach of the team. Lama will compete in 5,000m race under the 55-year age category.
Gurung will vie in the 5,000m, 10,000m and 15,000m under the 50-year age section. Malla will compete in 5,000m walk under the 45-year category.
Nepal meets Bangladesh in first match
KATHMANDU: Nepal will lock horns with Bangladesh in the First T20 Blind World Cup Cricket on December 2, according to Nepal Blind Cricket Association (NBCA). The event will be held from November 30 to December 14 in Bangalore, India. Nepal will meet Sri Lanka in December 3, South Africa on 4th, Australia on 6th, England of 7th, India on 8th, West Indies on 9th and Pakistan on December 10. The top four teams of the group will make it to the semifinal. Nepal had declared the team two week ago under the captaincy of Kritan Shrestha. Ganga Prasad Paudel is the coach. According to the Pawan Ghimire, the president of NBCA, preparations for the tournament to begin after the Tihar festival.
Two Nepali cyclists to participate in MTB Kerala
KATHMANDU : Two Nepali cyclists Ajay Pandit Chhetri and Raj Kumar Shrestha will participate in the MTB Kerala International Mountain Bike Cross Country event to be held from November 2 to 4 in India, Nepal Cycling Association (NCA) said on Tuesday. NCA President Chhimi Urken Gurung bade farewell to the Nepali cyclists on Tuesday amidst a function in the capital. Ajay N Rana is the team manager and coach of the Nepali team.
