Financial support to Rai
KATHMANDU: Former athletes and Nepali sports lovers residing in South Korea provided financial support of Rs 100,000 to ailing senior taekwondo coach Nandu Kumar Rai on Wednesday. Nepali national football team´s former captain Raju Shakya handed over the amount to Rai amidst a function in the capital on Wednesday. Taekwondo player Raju Chhetri and karateka Rabi Maharjan, who are currently in South Korea, had raised the money there and sent it through Shakya, who recently visited Korea. Rai is suffering from cancer.
