In the girls´ 20 kg category, Nanumaya Rai won the title while Ranju Lama finished second. Anu Subba and Sujita Rai claimed the top two spots respectively in the 30 kg category.
Likewise, Prashant Yadav won gold in the boys´ sub-junior kata while Subrat Neupane finished first in the boys´ junior kata. In the boys´ senior kata, Ritesh Shrestha clinched the title.
Players from 10 districts have been participating in the two-day event that will conclude on Saturday.
APF football continues
KATHMANDU, April 16: Pashupatinath Brigade and Rudra Brigade of the Armed Police Force (APF) won their respective football matches during the Third Armed Police IGP Cup on Friday.
A second-half brace from Ashok Neupane helped Pashupati Brigade defeat Baidanath Brigade 4-1. Shyam Rai scored the opener for Pashupatinath in the sixth minute while Bhimsen Karki doubled the lead in the 45th minute. Narayan Nayak scored a consolation goal for Baidyanath.
Meanwhile, Santosh Thapa scored a hat-trick in Rudra Brigade´s 3-0 win over Muktinath Brigade. Thapa scored all three goals in the second half to steer his team to victory.
The tournament is being held at the APF Headquarters, Halchowk in league-cum-knockout format.
Richmond´s tour postponed
KATHMANDU, April 16: Richmond Mavericks Football Club, a semi-professional English football side´s Nepal Tour scheduled from April 16 has been postponed indefinitely due to flight disruption following the volcanic eruption in Iceland.
The Richmond were scheduled to play four matches during the tour against Three Star, Rupandehia XI, Manang Marshyangdi Club and New Road Team.
Jerseys for club
KATHMANDU, April 16: Former footballer of Nabil Three Star Club Pralaya Rajbhandari distributed jerseys and half-pants to the team members of the club on Friday.

Rajbhandari, who joined the club about six years ago, is currently pursuing his studies in the United States.
Rajbhandari´s father handed over the jersey to the club´s captain Pradeep Maharjan amidst a function in the capital.
