Prime College announced to provide Gurung with a three-year scholarship upon completion of his 12th standard. The runners-up were awarded Rs 30,000.
Meanwhile, Reliance defeated Xavier International 61-35 in the third place play-off. Reliance received a cash prize of Rs 20,000 while Xavier bagged Rs 10,000.
Acharya extends lead
KATHMANDU, March 17: Amateur golfer Rupak Acharya extended his lead on Wednesday in the Surya Nepal Central Open golf tournament being held at the Gokarna Golf Club.
Acharya extended his lead over pro Rabi Khadka and Deepak Neupane after the completion of the second round.
The country´s top amateur maintained a card of even-par 72 on the second day for a total of two-under 142, while Khadka carded four-over 76 to be in the second position with a total of 147 strokes along with Neupane, who shot two-over 74 on Wednesday.
Another amateur Sumandra Giri was fourth overall and second among amateurs with 148 after the local club player shot one-over 73 to add to his overnight score of 75. CB Bhandari produced the best card of the day with a score of one-under 71 and remained in the fifth position with a total of 150.

KATHMANDU, March 17: The National Sports Council (NSC) has restructured All Nepal Kabaddi Association under the chairmanship of NSC Member Lal Kumar Lama on Wednesday.
Sanu Kumar Maharjan has been appointed the vice president. Manoj Kumar Mishra is the new general secretary, Birendra Kumar Yadav the treasurer and Chandra Kant Jha is the member of the association.
