KATHMANDU: Former vice president of National Sports Council (NSC) Pitambar Timalsina gave away Rs 50,000 as financial support to Bal Mukunda Napeet, a contract employee of NSC. Napeet had lost his wife during devastating earthquake of April 25. Timalsina who initiated to collect the amount for donation also promised to support in education of his 3-year old son Rijesh.
Wado Ryu training concludes
KATHMANDU: A three-day long Third International Wado Ryu training concluded on Tuesday in the capital. Altogether 95 trainees including chief of various dojos attended the training, according to Harisaran KC, the general secretary of Nepal Karate Federation. The chief of Norway Wado Ryu Karztan Storn among others conducted the training.
Financial support to Bomjan's family
KATHMANDU: The English Premier League Support Club of Nepal on Tuesday handed over financial support of Rs 22,300 to the family of sports journalist Suman Bomjan, who was killed by the April 25 earthquake. The amount -- Rs 22,000 -- was raised jointly by supporters of six Premier League clubs including Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham. The club on Tuesday handed over the amount to Nepal Sports Journalist Forum (NSJF) that has formed a committee to raise relief for Bomjan's family. Dipesh Timalsina of Chelsea Nepal and Mohan Ghimire of Arsenal Nepal gave away the amount to Mahesh Acharya, the general secretary of NSJF. According to NSJF it has so far collected Rs 112,300 for Bomjan's family.
